Because a 1000 screaming lunatics can't be wrong.

A few days ago I bought this video game, Homeworld 2, and it's now starting to rot my brain. I'm starting to use the mouse functions by reflex when I check my email. Also getting that pain between my shoulder blades from hunching over the computer. And, when I close my eyes at night all I see are starship battles.

Almost bought a hula-hoop today at the 99 cent store. I'll ask Marie before I buy one. She might object to me hula-hooping in her living room. Might be afraid that things will get out of hand. For awhile there last winter, I was a hula-hooping fiend. I'd do it every night as soon as I got home from work. It was my way of (literally) unwinding. Then I went to Odyssey, and I had to leave my hula-hoop behind. I almost bought one during my one trip to Wal-Mart but in the end decided against it. I mean what would people have said?

I would've liked to see you hoola-hooping. That would've been very, very amusing. :)

I've never kept a hula hoop up for longer than 30 seconds, tops. But just seeing them mentioned makes me think of my favorite book by Connie Willis, "The Bellwether". That could go on a top ten list for me. But then I could have a hundred top ten lists, so they are pretty meaningless when I do them.

I've been playing a freebie on Yahoo a lot lately, called "Bejeweled 2". For some reason, the clacking of all the little jewel pieces is very soothing. I used to buy computer games like candy, back in the enlightened days before I got suckered into playing mmorpgs. Although I was pretty jaded with that by the time I came to Odyssey. Since I got home, I can only play online for a couple hours here and there.

I am in complete awe of your daily flash output. A co-worker did send me a short short story and I've been working on the critique. I realized that he'd be overwhelmed by his marked up paper though, and so I only sent him the first impression. For starters. Then he'll get hit with the rest.

My flashes are only slightly better than an episode of "Vlad and Bongo." Actually, that gives me an idea for a piece.
